Pilates Classes and Workshops

Mat Pilates £8 pay as you go
My mat Pilates classes are welcoming and suitable for all levels of experience. You will be guided through a range of exercises with modifications and progressions given. The class will have an opening phase with body alignment and mobilising the body to warm up, followed by the main phase of exercising and then a closing section with stretching and relaxation. We exercise to a regularly changing playlist in the background.

Chair Pilates £6 pay as you go
This class is suitable for all levels and accessible for those that may not find floor based pilates suitable. Exercises are performed while seated on a chair. Props such as pilates blocks, balls and bands may be incorporated into the classes.
Adapted Pilates exercises will engage the core muscles from a seated position and can lead to better posture, flexibility and muscle tone.

Pilates for Desk Workers Workshop £12
This workshop is designed for desk workers focusing on improving posture and alignment, flexibility and strength.
The workshop focuses on strengthening the core, glutes and upper back while opening the chest and hips, and mobilising the spine in different directions.
The warm-up opening phase and stretch closing phase is designed to reflect and compliment the main phase of the workshop. You will learn exercises that you can implement into your daily work schedule.
This workshop is suitable for those who are beginners to Pilates.

Pilates for Cyclists £12
A great workshop to build strength and improve overall alignment. Whether you are an individual keen road cyclist, a spin class enthusiast or part of a cycling club you can benefit from this mat pilates workshop.
During the workshop, we will look at the posture and anatomy of cycling, and a brief overview of the principles of Pilates. So if you are a beginner to Pilates it will all start to make sense. Then I will lead a specifically designed class with a warm up session, main phase and a stretch and relaxation phase, that targets areas such as upper back, neck, hip flexors, core, glutes and hamstrings to improve strength, balance, co-ordination, flexibility and joint mobility.

Pilates for Runners £12
This workshop is ideal for those running C25K, to participants of park runs, club runners and event running enthusiasts.
The Workshop will open with a discussion on the posture and anatomy of running and a brief overview of the principles of Pilates. Then I will lead the class with a warm up phase, main phase and closing phase, focusing on core strength, flexibility, mobility and balance, targeting areas such as hip flexors, hips, glutes, quadriceps and obliques. Pilates is a great form of exercise in addition to your training, to build strength and endurance, as well as stretching tight muscles and improving flexibility.
